Hoya burmanica Long Leaves

Rating is 5.0 out of five stars based on 1 review

Bring elegant trailing beauty into your space with the rare and captivating Hoya burmanica (Long Leaf Form), commonly known as the Long Leaf Wax Plant. This distinctive hoya is admired for its elongated, lance-shaped leaves that emerge in rich green tones with a smooth, slightly waxy texture—creating a refined, cascading silhouette.

Unlike more common compact hoyas, Hoya burmanica long leaves offers a graceful, elongated growth habit that looks stunning in hanging planters or trained along a trellis. Its subtle leaf sheen and flowing vines add a soft, botanical luxury to any indoor jungle, especially when paired with brighter, bushier plants for contrast.

With patience and the right conditions, this hoya can also produce clusters of delicate, star-shaped flowers, adding even more charm to its already elegant appearance.

Common Name: Long Leaf Wax Plant

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some gentle morning sun, which encourages stronger growth.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Hoyas prefer to be on the drier side rather than overwatered.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity, but adapts well to normal indoor conditions.
Temperature: Thrives between 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
Soil: Use a very well-draining mix, ideally orchid bark, perlite, and a light potting substrate.

Growth: Moderate grower with long, trailing vines that become more dramatic over time.

Pet Safety: Considered non-toxic, but ingestion should still be avoided.

(One leaf is missing from the very bottom but that’s my own fault)
