Hoya Chouke
Hoya ‘Chouke’ is a beautiful and sought-after trailing houseplant prized for its thick, glossy foliage and easy-going nature. Its attractive green leaves grow along cascading vines, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets, shelves, or allowing to climb a support. As the plant matures, it can produce clusters of star-shaped, fragrant flowers that add to its charm and collectability.
Like many Hoyas, ‘Chouke’ stores water in its fleshy leaves, making it relatively drought tolerant and well suited to busy plant owners. Given bright, indirect light and the right conditions, it rewards growers with steady growth and lush trailing stems.
Care Guide
* Light: Bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning or evening sun can encourage growth and flowering.
* Water: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry between waterings. Avoid leaving roots sitting in water.
* Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity but adapts well to typical household conditions.
* Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures between 18–28°C.
* Soil: A free-draining, airy houseplant mix with added bark or perlite works best.
* Pet Friendly: Considered non-toxic, though it is best to prevent pets from chewing any houseplant.
A fantastic choice for both beginners and experienced collectors, Hoya ‘Chouke’ brings elegant trailing growth, low-maintenance care, and the potential for stunning fragrant blooms to any indoor plant collection.
