A distinctive, highly ornamental Hoya known for its thick, curled, rope-like leaves with creamy variegation. The foliage twists tightly along the stems, giving the plant its signature sculptural appearance. Slow growing but long-lived, eventually forming heavy, cascading vines.

Light

•Bright, indirect light is ideal for strong variegation.

•Tolerates some gentle morning sun.

•Too little light leads to reduced colour and slow growth.

Watering

•Allow the top 2–4 cm of soil to dry before watering.

•Water thoroughly, but never let the plant sit in water.

•Thick, succulent leaves make it more drought-tolerant than many Hoyas.

Humidity

•Prefers moderate humidity (40–60%).

•Can adapt to normal household levels but appreciates occasional misting or a nearby humidifier.

Temperature

•Ideal: 18–27°C.

•Avoid temperatures below 15°C.

•Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature drops.

Soil

•Requires a very airy, chunky, fast-draining mix.

•Best blend: orchid bark + perlite + a small amount of coco coir or peat.

•Avoid dense or water-retentive soils.

Growth

•Naturally slow-growing.

•Trailing vines can reach 1–2 metres over time.

•Produces clusters of pinkish-white, star-shaped flowers in bright conditions.
