Maranta ‘Lemon Lime’ is a vibrant cultivar of the Maranta leuconeura species, valued for its bright, contrasting leaf pattern and responsive, “prayer plant” movement. The foliage is lime to chartreuse green, accented by darker green central tones and bold, neon yellow to light green veining that runs symmetrically along the leaf surface. Undersides are a soft, pale green, creating colour contrast as the leaves lift and fold in response to day–night cycles.
Growth is low, spreading, and bushy, forming a dense cluster of stems that trail gently over time. Leaves typically grow 10–15 cm long, with a matte texture and a slightly rippled structure. As the plant matures, it produces new leaves on upright, arching petioles that unfurl slowly and display their full pattern within a few days.

Care Information
Light:
Thrives in bright, indirect light or light shade. Avoid direct sun, which can fade the lime colouring and burn the leaf edges.
Water:
Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 1–2 cm to dry out before watering. Marantas are sensitive to hard water and may develop leaf edge browning; filtered or rested water is ideal.
Humidity:
Prefers 60%+ humidity. In drier homes, increased humidity helps prevent curling and crisping of the edges.
Temperature:
Best at 18–26 °C. Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 15 °C.
Soil:
Use a light, moisture-retentive mix with good aeration—typically a blend of peat or coco coir, perlite, and a small amount of bark.
Feeding:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer using a diluted, balanced fertiliser. Avoid heavy feeding, as Marantas can be sensitive to excess salts.
