Appearance & Growth
One of the defining characteristics of Philodendron patriciae is its foliage. The leaves are ovate-lanceolate to elliptic, considerably longer than they are wide, with a pointed, cuspidate tip and a rounded to slightly heart-shaped base.
Kew's botanical description records mature leaves reaching up to approximately 97 cm in length, although cultivated plants can remain considerably smaller depending on age and growing conditions. The upper surface is dark green and matte, while the underside is glossier. As the plant matures, the leaf blades can become noticeably undulated and somewhat quilted, adding texture and depth to the foliage.
The species has relatively short stems and naturally produces pendent foliage. It is an epiphytic climber, rooting at the nodes as it grows, and mature plants can develop an impressive cascading habit.

Care Guide
Light

Watering
